About the Mardi Gras Spot and Plush Appeal
The Mardi Gras Spot and Plush Appeal is a manufacturer and direct importer that specializes in wholesale, customized crane prepacks, stuffed animals, Mardi Gras beads, novelties, and porcelain. We are “the Home of Mardi Gras Plush.” Our company has been in business for over 19 years. Our main office and warehouse is located at 2811 Toulouse St. in New Orleans, LA. Across the street at 2812 Toulouse, We have our new 13,000 square foot Mardi Gras store . We specialize in supplying plush mixes to the amusement industry for use in carnivals, redemption counters, and crane machines. We offer the best plush blends in the business with quality and variety being our #1 priority. We never put more than two-three identical pieces in any one bag. With at least 200-300 pieces arriving monthly, our plush mixes are always changing. Extensive seasonal lines with sizzle are also trademarks of the Mardi Gras Spot and Plush Appeal. We offer more variety on our seasonal lines than any other plush company in the business. We have beautiful, high quality plush for all major holidays including Christmas, Halloween, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter and Patriotic 4th of July. We also offer a wide variety of licensed plush. We provide shipping to all 50 states, as well as, Canada, Guam, and England. In addition to our fabulous, year-round plush business, we ventured into the Mardi Gras industry, and since our first Mardi Gras season over 17 years ago, we have never looked back. Daryl Fletchinger has been involved in Mardi Gras for over 20 years. As a rider himself he was tired of being forced to pay the extravagant prices demanded by the very limited number of Mardi Gras suppliers. Many krewes even went out of business due to the high costs of throws. Because there were so many other people experiencing the same problem, he decided to expand his business to serve the needs of Mardi Gras krewes and their riders by providing parade throws at much lower prices. He used our already well-established ties with our suppliers in China to receive the best quality Mardi Gras items at the lowest possible cost and were able to pass the saving on to our customers. Our Mardi Gras business grew in such substantial proportions each year that we recently had to move to a 155,000 square foot warehouse that includes over 13,000 sq. ft. that is used for a retail store.
